COMPO Box Tree Moth Trap Refills

Product Description

COMPO Box Tree Moth Trap Refills are pheromones for monitoring the presence of the box tree moth. Depending on the number of moths caught, further control can be considered. The pheromones (sexual attractants) lure the male moths into the trap. This leaves the female moths alone and unable to reproduce. The COMPO Box Tree Moth Trap Refills can also be used in dispensers of other common box tree moth traps.

Recommendations for applications

Remove the basket from the Buxus Moth Trap and open it. Empty and clean the trap according to the instructions.
Remove the pheromones from the packaging and place them in the basket of the trap. Wear gloves. Caution: do not touch the pheromones! Avoid contact with clothing.
Close the basket and place it in the opening provided in the trap lid. The trap is now ready for use.

Store the remaining pheromone capsules in the original packaging in a cool and dry place, out of direct sunlight. Depending on the weather conditions, the pheromones must be replaced after 2 months.

Further measures :
Once the presence has been established using the COMPO Box Tree Moth Trap, a control with an insecticide (e.g. COMPO Karate Garden) can be considered to
prevent damage by the box tree moth caterpillar in the short term. Preferably also check the box for the presence of typical feeding damage by caterpillars or caterpillars before proceeding with control. If there are multiple moths in the trap, there is usually a need for treatment.
