What is a globe cactus?
The globe cactus is a beautiful sight, with its playful, rounded shape and eye-catching spines. It isn't a specific species, but rather a growth form found in several cacti, often from desert-like regions. As you can see in the photo, it comes in all sorts of varieties – from cacti with a fluffy white covering to specimens with sharp yellow or reddish spines. They are compact and rugged, and instantly add character to a room.
Easy houseplants
These globe cacti are very easy houseplants, perfect for anyone who wants some greenery at home without the fuss. The secret? They actually prefer very little water! You only need to water them occasionally – too much water can even do them harm. These plants are used to dry conditions, so they can take a few knocks. Even if you forget about them now and then, they'll stay healthy and good-looking. Ideal for busy households, offices, restaurants or as a gift for anyone without green fingers!
