About the Cereus cactus (column cactus)
The Cereus cactus is an impressive plant known for its columnar, upright growth. Originally from dry, rocky regions, this cactus copes extremely well with little water. Some species can grow tens of metres tall in the wild, but indoors they stay compact and decorative. Their sturdy spines and clean lines give any room a strong, modern look.
Easy houseplants
Cereus cacti are among the most low-maintenance houseplants around. Because they are adapted to extreme drought, they need very little water – too much water is actually harmful to them. With just a little water now and then and a sunny spot, they will stay healthy for years. They can take a few knocks, and even if you skip a watering, they'll keep looking good. Ideal for busy households, offices, restaurants or as a gift for anyone without green fingers!
