Steel wool from Metalino and RAKSO is used for cleaning, polishing and sanding wood, metal and glass. You can buy 200 g packs in grades 0000 (ultra-fine) to 5 (coarse), rolls in every grade, DIY pads, packs of 8 pads, stainless steel wool and steel fibres from fine to ultra-coarse.
Buying tip: the more zeros, the finer the wool. Use 0000 or 000 for polishing and finishing, and grades 3 to 5 for removing paint, rust or stubborn dirt. Stainless steel wool is a good choice for wet work. The collection also includes stove glass and glass cleaners. Prices range from €5.14 to €22.75.
